Message by the CEO
Dear Client and Friend,
In this edition, I would like to share with you, dear client and friend, the decision to increase the supply of domestic flights, particularly an increase in flights to Tete. There will be two flights a day from Maputo to Tete, in response to great pressure from the market, and embodying the objective of LAM to consolidate its presence on the national market.
Setting up an operational base in Tete, to complement the operational base that already exists in Beira, is the next step, in order to empower inter-provincial connections, as well as connections between the provinces of central Mozambique, and the nearest regional capitals.
To this end, MEX will be the vehicle that will extend LAM’s reach to some of the domestic and regional destinations, and in this way meet the demand expressed in development projects throughout the country.
The city of Quelimane, which until recently was only served by night flights, will be provided with daytime flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In connections abroad, we can now rely on another partnership, this time with the company Precision Air. Our clients will thus benefit from connections to the best destinations in Tanzania, as well as access to other East African Countries.
We remain committed to our restructuring program, bringing the fleet into line with the real needs of the market, stimulating our managing bodies to better serve the strategy, and rationalizing resources, in order to guarantee operational profitability in an increasingly competitive market.
I would like to thank our clients and friends for continuing to fly with us, giving a signal of trust in the quality of service and in the operational safety which this company, which is both ours and yours, offers. You are the reason we exist. You are what encourages us to greater commitment in the cycle of continual improvement.
Have a good trip!
