LAM celebrates 31 years

LAM has celebrated 31 years of existence, on May 14, 2011 in a ceremony that condecorated 39 workers with 20, 25 and 30 years of work in the company.

In the occasion, LAM's Delegate Administrator, Dr.ª Marlene Manave, distinguished the service of the recognized partners. "We condecorated a group of professionals that in a exemplar way dedicated a Great part of their lives to LAM, which are being recognized for their 20, 25 and 30 years of service”.

To the condecorated, Dr.ª Marlene Manave said "you represent a significative part of the valuable "actives" that the company have and are the trustee of LAM mystic, that have to be transmitted to the younger, accepting them in our team, and maintaining an incessant survey of necessary knowledge”.
During the ceremony, the LAM operational results were presented, in which is distinguished the growth of the number of passengers transported in the first three months of 2011, in a order of 9%, with a average use of 61% and a level of punctuality of 92.9%. In the level of service satisfaction, based on the daily and constant surveys that the company is making to measure its performance, 71% of the clients denote that they are happy with the services provided by LAM.

The President of the Council of Administration of LAM, Dr. Teodoro Waty, referred that it is important to consolidate the cohesion in the company to maintain the spirit of growth virtuous. "It is very important to be a united family to continue to be the proud of Mozambique, transport the self esteem, culture, history, gastronomy, sympathy and hospitality of our people that characterize the Mozambicans”.

To achieve the defined goals, LAM bets on formation and capacitation of its personal stuff, being the integration of 6 new technicians for aircraft maintenance, an evidence of this bet. this technicians were trained in the Ethiopian Aviation Academy, on which, by next June a group of new pilots will finish their course initiated in 2008.

One of the leading moments in the ceremony, was the hand over of the testimony from the last President of the Council of Administration, Eng.º José Viegas to the newly nominated President, Dr. Teodoro Waty. The Labor Trade Association of LAM, who coordinated the process, gave a welcome to the new Administration. "We wish the new President of the Council of Administration welcomes to this big ship designated LAM. Fly confortable, fast and safe”.
