Social Responsibility
The LAM SARL Social Responsibility Program designated “Nas Asas de Moçambique”, is geared towards developing and encouraging sustainable actions that are related to the company’s business as well as the actual needs of the communities involved, employees, customers, investors and partners.
The Program comprises of two components, namely internal and external, and is gradually bringing its processes in line with the guiding principles of the “Global Pact”, which is an initiative of the United Nations.
The Global Pact is made up of ten universal principles outlined in the Universal Human Rights Declaration, the Declaration of the International Labour Organization, the Rio Declaration on the Environment and Development and the United Nations Convention against Corruption. Today, the initiative has over 5,200 participants in 120 countries.
LAM is also member of the FEMA-Business Forum for the Environment. By joining this initiative, LAM assumes a commitment to expand its socio-environmental role and sustainable development, supporting and actively participating in social responsible practices.
