Firearms And Ammunition

General

Ammunition, firearms and other weapons shall only be accepted for carriage as checked baggage. Such firearms shall be unloaded, i.e. free of ammunition, and suitably packed for such carriage.

All ammunition shall be carried in the aircraft hold as checked baggage only, and with approval of the carrier(s) participating in the transportation. Such ammunition shall consist of small arms ammunition for sporting purposes only excluding those with explosive or incendiary projectiles, both of which are totally prohibited for carriage by air.

Packing and Limitations

It must be securely boxed, for personal use only and may not be carried in quantities exceeding 5 kg gross weight per passenger. Allowances for more than one passenger must be not be combined into one or more packages.

Note: These rules shall be subjected to any further restrictive condition(s) applicable in countries of departure, transit or destination.

Excess Baggage

The free baggage allowance per passenger on LAM flights is as follows:

First Class: 40 kg
Executive Class: 30 kg
Economy Class: 20 kg

If the passenger is unable to keep baggage weight within the specified baggage allowance, excess baggage will be charged.
