LAM records 15% growth in 2011
In 2011, LAM – Mozambique Airlines recorded an overall growth in operational profits of around 15%. Contributing to this was the optimization of supply and the greater use of modern aircraft, the efficiency of which makes it possible to reduce rotation periods, increase the number of flights and reduce fuel consumption.
The Company also obtained a positive net operational result, a 4% growth in the volume of traffic, a growth of around 10% in production (that is, in passenger-kilometres) and in hours flown, and an average occupation rate of 73%, which was an improvement of 3 percentage points compared with 2010
