Solidarity With The Victims Of The Floods

LAM has joined the movement of solidarity with the citizens affected by the floods in the centre and north of the country, and has delivered goods resulting from contributions made by its workers, as well as by the company itself. Committed to helping minimize the suffering of citizens now facing difficult circumstances, the company donated a tonne of crockery, of a type that was once used on board its aircraft.

In the spirit of this humanitarian gesture, LAM put at the disposal of the country’s relief agency, the National Disaster Management Institute (INGC), space to transport by air two tonnes of cargo, consisting essentially of medicines, with a maximum of 200 kilos on each flight on the Maputo – Quelimane route.

The LAM workers have expressed their deep dismay at the suffering caused by the floods among their fellow citizens in the centre and north of the country. They have embarked on a movement of solidarity resulting in the collection of such goods as foodstuffs, clothing and footwear, which was sent to Quelimane, where it was delivered to the INGC.
