LAM retoma voos para Harare

On 19 December, the company Mozambican Air lines resumed regular weekly flights between Maputo and Harare, with the aim of allowing greater air mobility between Mozambique and Zimbabwe, given the business opportunities and the fact that a large community of Mozambicans lives there, as well as several Zimbabweans living in Mozambique.

João Carlos Pó Jorge, LAM’s Executive Director, explained that LAM intends to focus on the family, tourism and business markets.

“We are going to offer this connection at a more convenient price, with a more attractive schedule, thus avoiding other types of more expensive and longer connections.”

In turn, the chairman of the Zimbabwe Airports Company, Devnanda Popatlal, showed great satisfaction at the resumption of flights to his country, three times a week, saying that “it will have a great impact on the continued development of historical events, also allowing for an increase in the flow of commercial and tourist relations between the two brotherly countries”.
