LAM takes mambas to guinea-bissau on direct flight

LAM, the national flag carrier, as the official carrier of the national soccer team - MAMBAS, created exceptional conditions for the team’s flight to Bissau, where it defeated the local team - “DJURTUS” (2-1) and secured qualification for the final phase of the African Nations Championship (CAN 2025), to be held in Morocco. This achievement came about thanks to a series of actions on the basis of which the flight connecting Maputo and Lisbon made a stopover in Guinea-Bissau.

Following this adjustment to the flight route, the national team made a direct and fast journey, which proved to be strategic in managing the national team’s efforts. After the match, the MAMBAS left Bissau for Maputo on the same day, November 19, 2024, still in a festive mood following their qualification. LAM, through its Commercial Director, Firmino Naftal, praised the Mozambican Football Federation’s openness to joint action in preparation for yet another national achievement in sport. “It’s gratifying to contribute to achieving better results in Africa’s most prestigious soccer competition. The Mozambican Football Federation is one of our strategic partners in the intervention we have made in sport, in a variety of ways, including transporting teams to various national and international competitions, sponsoring sporting events and valuing the respective agents. In the case of MAMBAS, we joined the efforts made to create better conditions for the athletes so that they would be motivated and focused only on winning and consequently qualifying, he said. LAM is proud to be the official carrier of the national soccer team, as well as the teams of the national soccer championship, commonly known as MOÇAMBOLA, and also those of the NATIONAL BASKETBALL LEAGUE, both male and female.
