The Mozambique Airlines Company (LAM - S.A.) informs passengers and the general public that, due to tropical storm JUDE, which is ravaging the northern region of the country, and for operational safety reasons, domestic flights to and from Nampula, Pemba and Nacala, from Maputo, are cancelled.

The General Assembly of Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique, SA – LAM, meeting in an Extraordinary session, decided to elect Mr. Marcelino Gildo Alberto as President of the Board of Directors, with effect from January 22, 2025 and took office the following day.

LAM, the national flag carrier, as the official carrier of the national soccer team - MAMBAS, created exceptional conditions for the team’s flight to Bissau, where it defeated the local team - “DJURTUS” (2-1) and secured qualification for the final phase of the African Nations Championship (CAN 2025), to be held in Morocco. This achievement came about thanks to a series of actions on the basis of which the flight connecting Maputo and Lisbon made a stopover in Guinea-Bissau.

The company Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) informs its valued passengers and the general public that its largest aircraft, Boeing 737-700, has been subject to a one-off overhaul.

Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique, SA - LAM met in a session of the Extraordinary General Assembly, decided to change the company's corporate governance structure, and in the same session the Sir. Américo Muchanga as Chairman of the Board of Directors, with effect from July 10, 2024.

Recently, the management of Mozambique Airlines (LAM) presented to the public the new plane models that will decorate the company’s travel agencies, stores and offices. The novelty is the innovation associated with the concept of conservation and environmental sustainability and the appreciation of art and local artists. There are, in total, 100 models, made in mafurreira wood and signed by Dino Jethá, a psikhelekedana artist.

Coastal erosion problems have been frequent throughout practically the entire national territory. It was in this context that the company Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) decided to make tyres no longer usable on its aircraft available to stop land erosion along the banks of the Incomáti River, next to Macaneta beach, Marracuene district, Maputo province.

LAM - Mozambique Airlines, S.A. will start flights between Maputo and Lusaka (Zambia) with a stopover in Harare (Zimbabwe) on June 30th. This initiative aims to strengthen ties between neighbouring countries and promote regional connectivity.

Fascinated by airplanes since childhood, being a pilot was the ultimate dream. Son of a father with a basic aviation course and a brother who shared the same dream, conversations around the dinner table were always about airplanes. There was no other choice for Rogério Pinhal, who is now a pilot for LAM. “There was no room to think about any other profession,” he revealed.
